Sachs MadAss 125

Sachs MadAss 125

The Sachs MadAss 125 is an amazing lightweight, cost-effective and extremely fun bike for urban use. I speak from experience, I’ve owned mine for three years now and have ridden it in a bunch of different cities.

I’ve owned regular motorcycles scooters and mopeds but the Sachs MadAss 125 is a different animal. It has a clutch and shifts like a regular motorcycle but is small and lightweight like a scooter or moped.

It has an incredibly reasonable price of around $2,500 and with some money spent on modifications and upgrades you can really get the performance to an impressive level for a 125. After some modifications top speed will be about 65 mph so it’s not a bike you’d want to take long trips but for the city it’s got plenty of power and great handling too.

I got mine from Moto Scoot in Milwaukee Wisconsin, these guys are the experts when it comes to the Sachs MadAss 125 and I would recommend talking to them if you’re interested in picking one up. They make custom parts and have all the tuning kits plus they ship anywhere in the US for free!

Below are some photos of my bike, I put the dfco.com logo on mine since it’s a promo bike for the business. I have also included photos of stock bikes. Thanks for taking a look, feel free to ask any questions in the comments.

  1. Have you had any major problems or repairs since you’ve had the Madass? I’m really thinking about getting one, just wanted to know what to expect as far as reliability and long term wear and tear.

    • Hey David,

It’s been a great bike, very reliable. I have done a few upgrades that have made a big difference with performance and handling. I would definitely recommend doing some of the things I list in the video.

The only thing I have not done yet that I would like to is replace the rear shock, it has no rebound damping. The cool thing is that there are tons of cool aftermarket options for the MadAss 125.

      Take care,
      Dana
